Own blood therapy for hair loss in Basel
The novel autohaemotherapy (PRP) is an effective method to reactivate the diminishing cell activity and the regenerative ability of the skin. Vampire lifting makes it possible to regain lost volume in a natural way.
In PRP therapy, certain components from the patient's own blood are used specifically to rejuvenate the skin. An important advantage of the treatment is therefore that only the body's own substances are used.
The procedure is largely painless and leaves no scars. With anaesthetic cream for local anaesthesia, the sensation of pain is reduced to a minimum.
PRP therapies to stimulate hair growth
PRP therapy is used effectively to improve and stimulate hair growth. Hair loss treatment with the patient's own blood (PRP method) responds in 70 to 80% of patients. Hair loss affects men and also women.

What is PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma)?
PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) is blood plasma prepared by centrifugation from autologous blood. The resulting serum is yellowish and "rich" in growth factors thanks to the multiple proportion of platelets. The growth factors contained in the "platelet-rich plasma" are the body's repair mechanisms and act as commanders for the formation of new cells. This allows the skin to regain the lost volume and elasticity, leaving the treated area looking fresher and younger overall. Vampire Lifting acts on the skin like a rejuvenating treatment.
Results with autohaemotherapy (PRP) for hair loss
A study carried out by the University of Padua has shown that between 70% and 80% of men and women respond to the PRP method for hair loss. Their hair thickness improved and itching decreased.
In all cases it was important that the treatments were repeated three to four times at intervals of a few months. In addition, the earlier the therapy was started, the better the success.
