Spray lips with hyaluron filler in Basel

Hyaluronic acid (hyaluron filler) is a natural component of human skin. It maintains the moisture of the skin. With advancing age, the natural content of this endogenous substance in the skin decreases. By a treatment with hyaluron, your skin gains significantly in freshness and elasticity.

Injecting hyaluronic acid can fill up the volume of your lips, highlight the lip contours, slightly optimize the lip shape and also emphasize the so-called Cupid's Arch (middle of the upper lip).

Dr. med. Mitra Modaressi (Basel & Vienna)

An improved lip volume is created by a naturally degradable hyaluron filler. Fillers made of high-quality hyaluron are used in the treatment, which is performed painlessly under local anaesthetic.

  • Enlargement of the lip volume

  • Compensation of asymmetries

  • Slight change of the lip shape

  • Emphasis on the cupid's bow (middle of the upper lip)

What are fillers?

Fillers are substances that are injected into the tissue in order to immediately correct the loss of substance. Fillers are used very effectively to fill deep wrinkles.

How permanent are the fillers?

Fillers, such as collagen or hyaluron, are completely broken down by the body after a certain time. The non-permanent fillers made of natural hyaluron have become widely established thanks to their very good effectiveness and tolerance.

What is hyaluron?

Hyaluronic acid (hyaluron) is an important and natural component of connective tissue. In the skin, the concentration of hyaluron, which can bind a lot of water, decreases strongly with increasing age. The connective tissue of the skin therefore stores less water. The skin therefore appears less elastic and tends to wrinkle.

The hyaluron is prepared in such a way that it is not immediately flushed out again. The injected hyaluron is only slowly broken down again by the skin.

Where are fillers made of hyaluron used?

Wrinkle injection with hyaluronic acid is suitable for deep wrinkles on the face (e.g. in the cheek, mouth and lip area).

However, fillers are also used to build up volume and shape the lip (e.g. for lip contouring or straightening the nose). Fillers are also suitable for building up sunken cheeks or sunken eye circles.

How fast does hyaluron work?

The effect can be seen immediately as soon as the skin irritations caused by the injections with small amounts have subsided. The effect usually lasts for about twelve months with cross-linked hyaluron. The duration of the effect depends on the preparation used, the treated region and the predisposition of the treated person.

An exception is hydration therapy, the effects of which build up over the course of several weeks after treatment.

When used with an experienced doctor, hyaluron can cause a significantly rejuvenated and fresh appearance with smooth skin in the case of deep and fine wrinkles.

No blood-thinning medication before treatment.

In the week before the treatment, no blood-thinning medication, such as aspirin, should be taken, as otherwise the risk of bruising may be increased.

No hyaluron during pregnancy and lactation

Treatments with hyaluron during pregnancy and lactation are not recommended. Afterwards the treatment can be started or continued.

How bad is the pain?

During the treatment hyaluron is injected with fine needles. Most people feel the bite like an insect bite. An anaesthetic cream helps to reduce the sensitivity to pain.

How long does the effect last?

The hyaluron produced for the treatment of the lips is only slowly broken down again by the body. Thus, the shape-enhancing effect of the treatment lasts from six months to over a year.

Procedure of the lip treatment with hyaluron

Before we start the treatment, we inform you in detail about the advantages and side effects of the substance used. Hyaluron is a viscous, transparent solution. It is injected under the skin with extremely fine needles.
This treatment leaves hardly any visible marks, only the lips may swell slightly. It lasts about 20 minutes and can be repeated at any time.
